Welcome to The Bare Brigade

A place to explore nakedness & rewrite our body story through inspiration & vulnerability

The Invitation

Wanting to get more comfortable getting naked & not sure where to start? Come on in, pull up a chair, lean into a wellspring of inspiration and let’s get curious!

The Bare Brigade is your all access place to behind the scenes content, exclusive uncensored access to Getting Bare photos (only from those who’ve given consent because consent is paramount), a peek into the vulnerable process of starting a photography business centred around nakedness & body liberation and place to imagine and explore your own relationship to your body.

The reality is, is that nakedness has been so deeply entangled with sexuality that there aren’t many places that allow us to explore and rewrite this narrative. This leads to excessive censorship on social media platforms reinforcing that there is something wrong or shameful about our bodies, and/or the rampant sexualization and objectification of the body when all we’re really wanting is to redefine the relationships we have with our bodies. So if we can’t do it on the socials, we can damn well do it here!

This is a place where bodies get to exist as bodies, where we can appreciate the art of shapes, shadows and light without needing to sexualize or objectify. A place to show up in vulnerability at whatever edge feels right and good for you. A place where you can exists in the margins like a fly on the wall taking in the images and inspiration, or you can get on in there and explore your own expression by taking up space with your own thoughts, images and stories.

A place of Mutual Respect & Consent

The Bare Brigade is open to any and all folks of any gender 19+ who are committed to upholding a place of respect. This is not a place for the sexualization or objectification of bodies. Yes sexual reclamation can be a powerful component in body reclamation, especially for femmes AND we do not project of ideas, thoughts and sexualized opinions on the bodies within this space. There are plenty of other corners of the internet that welcome that energy and I am for that when it is consensual, and here we're striving for something different.

Your support is deeply appreciated and I'm looking forward to connecting with you within these walls

xx Lindsay
